When you don’t understand what’s happening in your audio, every decision takes more effort—and still feels uncertain. I teach voice-driven creators how sound actually works so they can make confident decisions, create recordings people actually want to listen to, and get results that translate.
I’ve worked with globally recognized authors, teachers, and voice talent—editing, mastering, archiving, and delivering audio at the highest level. My work has contributed to processes and standards adopted by industry-recognized providers.
My approach is grounded in a deep understanding of how great sound is made—and why it works.
I led the Audio Department at Sounds True, where I mentored a team and built systems for recording, editing, and mastering spoken-word audio. That work included session direction, archive management, and developing a disciplined approach to language, speech, and vocal prosody.
My background in both management and audio engineering allows me to guide people not just in technique, but in how to create the right environment—technically and creatively—for their work.
Most importantly, I help people develop their own voice.
Everyone is different. My role is to help you understand what’s happening, so you can make decisions that reflect who you are—and create recordings that feel true to your voice and that people genuinely want to listen to.
Ambiguity Costs Energy. Clarity Creates it.
I’ve spent two decades working in spoken word audio, where clarity isn’t optional—it’s structural. In that environment, ambiguity has consequences. Meaning collapses. Focus disappears. Energy is wasted.
Ambiguity in sound isn’t mysterious—it’s unexamined perception. When listening is grounded in technical understanding, decisions become clear. Confidence isn’t forced. It emerges.
Clarity Sound Lab exists to develop clear perception, technical skill, and the foundational understanding that makes good decisions repeatable. Not through shortcuts or presets, but through structured listening and disciplined, real-world practice.
