Clarity Sound Lab is structured as a progressive training path. Each course builds on the last, moving from foundational perception to applied professional practice.

Foundations

Establishing the perceptual and technical foundation for advanced study.

Fundamentals of Sound

The structural principles that govern how sound works. We begin with the forces that shape sound, including perception, amplitude, frequency, phase and room behavior. From there, we explore microphones, record chains and the mistakes that most often sabotage clarity.

Completion of this course (or equivalent knowledge) is required before enrolling in advanced offerings.

Applied Editing

Applying foundational listening skills to real-world spoken-word production.

Spoken Word Editing

Structural editing for audiobooks, podcasts, narration, and long-form dialogue.
Pacing, transitions, removal of distractions, and decisions made in service of meaning.

Spoken Word Editing with AI Tools

Using AI responsibly and effectively without sacrificing perceptual accuracy or editorial judgment.

Tools & Technique

Developing control over processing, signal flow, and refinement.
